Co-Founder & Creative Director

Dr. Hodges Persley is a director, actor and filmmaker. She is President of the Black Theatre Association, Director of the Black Vitality Commission and the Artistic Director of the KC Melting Pot Theater in Kansas City. She is the author of the forthcoming book Sampling and Remixing Blackness in Hip-hop Theater and Performance and co-author with Monica Ndounou of Acting and Auditioning for Actors of Color.

Dr. Ndounou is a director, actor, educator and producer. She is the founding Executive Director of The CRAFT Institute & award-winning author of Shaping the Future of African American Film: Color-Coded Economics and the Story Behind the Numbers and a forthcoming multimedia project on Black acting theories and practices.

With years of experience in wireless technology, hardware and application development his interests include bridging the digital divide between Technology and the Arts and Humanities, working on cutting edge technology deployments and demystifying the complexity associated with STEM to make it more accessible to all.
